Makerere University Health Services (MakHS) refers to services offered by Makerere University Hospital, the Dental School and Satellite clinics at Kabanyolo and Jinja campuses. Makerere University Hospital has been in existence since 1978 and has served not only as a center for providing healthcare services but also as a center for training, research.

Dr. Byamugisha Josaphat Kayogoza is the Director Makerere University Health Services (Cross- appointment). He is Founder President East Central and Southern Africa College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ECSACOG). He headed Obs/Gyn Mak University 2008-2016.He has more than 100 publications. He comes in with vast training (MBChB, MMed, PhD, FAIMER Fellow (PA, USA), and more than twenty years’ experience in health care delivery, leadership, research, M & E and is a positive thinker with Positive deviance.
